Ryan Reaves has made an impressive impact on the Las Vegas community. The legendary Vegas Golden Knights enforcer has amassed 3,225 hits during his 16-year career, with 837 coming with the Golden Knights. That's a lot of hits, yet he's done a sterling job of staying out of the penalty box (NHL 82-game average of 97 penalty minutes).
Unfortunately, it appears that Reaves is winding down his hockey career. It appears that he already has a new career in mind, particularly in the broadcasting field. According to ESPN's Greg Wyshynski, he's giving a broadcasting career a go.

Of course, it's an easy transition for the 39-year-old, who spent his last season with the San Jose Sharks. Here, he scored three goals in 50 games of the 2025-26 season, adding 160 hits in the process.
The career would be a boon for Reaves, for he's known for being likable. He grew on the Golden Knights' fanbase with his powerful hits and how he stuck up for his teammates. On top of that, he's done immaculate work at getting people to like him with his charm.
Of course, he's not the first Golden Knight to do this. Fans remember seeing Alec Martinez on their screens before every Golden Knights game in 2025-26. How amazing is that?
Anyways, here's hoping that Reaves makes it big in the broadcasting field. He has the likable personality and humor to go big in the industry. Who knows? He might be on ESPN hosting the show.
