You know, I was going to talk further about the Jason Robertson drama going on in Dallas. But I guess talking about Carl Lindbom getting a three-year contract extension is also worth it. The Golden Knights inked him to a deal late Sunday night, giving fans to smile about before the dreaded Monday kicked in.

The deal is worth $900,000 AAV and leaves Lindbom waiver-exempt for the 2026-27 seaosn. This past season, the Swedish prospect spent some time with the Golden Knights, posting a GAA of 3.00 and a save percentage of .873 (eight games). However, he fared far better with the Henderson Silver Knights.
Here, he posted a GAA of 2.16, a save percentage of .926, and three shutouts. Lindbom has been highly touted as one of the Golden Knights' best prospects and with good reason. He's excelled in his two seasons with the Silver Knights, posting a GAA of 2.41, a save percentage of .919, and six shutouts.
Lindbom expects to be a bigger part of the Golden Knights' future, starting as a backup. There's a distinct possibility that he gets that moniker in 2026-27, should the Golden Knights move on from Adin Hill and/or Akira Schmid. There's nothing wrong with a little more exposure to the NHL's fast-paced game, you know.
The future looks bright for the Golden Knights in the crease. They have Cameron Whitehead and Pavel Moisevich to look forward to. Most of all, they can look forward to seeing Lindbom play in net as he works to develop into a star goaltender.
