Summerslam just wrapped up its first night, and boy, was it a doozy! You had Seth Rollins cashing in his Money In The Bank contract to win the World Heavyweight Championship and Tiffany Stratton winning against Jade Cargill.
Fans should tune into the second night and see what's in store. Will John Cena stick to his "Baby Face" persona or is it all a ruse, i.e., Seth Rollins? Stay tuned because it'll be an action-packed night ahead.
So let's have a little fun here. Let's associate some Vegas Golden Knights with famous WWE stars and factions, old and new. Heck, we'll use former Golden Knights for this exercise to make everything balanced... as all things should be.
Here, we're using four WWE entities for our comparisions here. Let's dive in and see who's giving Stunners and eating pancakes!
1.) Stone Cold Steve Austin: Ryan Reaves
Reavo's been known to open a can of whoopass during his NHL career. He has 1,100 penalty minutes during his 15-year career with 3,065 career hits. 837 of those hits came with the Vegas Golden Knights, making him the team's resident tough guy.
It doesn't matter if it's Evander Kane or you not changing your watering schedule. If Reaves finds you, he'll give you a Stone Cold Stunner while crackin' a cold one. Watch your back!
2.) Cody Rhodes: Jack Eichel
On one hand, you have an NHL player who's beloved and the current face of the franchise. On the other, you have certain marks (*cough* *cough* Buffalo) who don't like him at all. What gives?
Well, this is where Jack Eichel stands as a hockey player. He's beloved in the Las Vegas community to the point where fans would rather have him over Connor McDavid. On the other hand, some hockey fans can't stand the sight of him. What a tough world, eh?
Oh, and he's essentially the American Nightmare of the NHL.
3.) Daniel Bryan: Jonathan Marchessault
Daniel Bryan wasn't the biggest guy in the wrestling ring. He had to rely on his technique and wrestling prowess to get by. Lo and behold, he won the WWE Championship four times and the World Heavyweight Championship once. That's not even mentioning what he's done in AEW as Bryan Danielson, winning the AEW World Championship.
Jonathan Marchessault knows the feeling since he made the most of his role. Aside from being the leading goal scorer in Golden Knights history (192) and points leader (417), the Original Misfit has a Conn Smythe Trophy to his name. That was enough to make fans say, "YES! YES! YES!"
4.) New Day: Reilly Smith and William Karlsson
Now, the New Day have made their rounds as the villainous duo in recent days. But that doesn't mean we can't look back at when they were lovable guys. After all, they won the WWE Tag Team Championship seven times and the World Tag Team Championship five times.
That's a similar dynamic the two Misfits carry. They've been on the same team for seven years, creating countless memories with the Golden Knights. That includes the "Power Kill," where the Misfits do the most damage.
