Sunday thoughts about... the brain

I woke up this morning and stared at the ceiling. I was busy producing articles the night before and wasn't in the mood to do anything. In fact, it's been like that for the past couple of weeks. It's been staring vacantly at the ceiling, wanting to veg out and sleep all day.

Sounds like the perfect experience for a 35-year-old, eh?

Anyways, I also had the revelation that today was the first game of the Golden Knights' Stanley Cup journey. Lo and behold, it was against an old rival, the San Jose Sharks. Praise the hockey lords because the best time of the year is finally upon us!

That thought alone was enough to get me up and take a shower. What better way to celebrate the day (Rhymes Like Dimes!) than to watch everyone's favorite hockey team take the ice again?

Such a thought should motivative a regular person to run through a brick wall and take on the world. It would inspire a human to solve world hunger in under a second and bring harmony to the masses. It's the effect of Golden Knights hockey, with Bill Foley the mastermind behind the masterpiece.

Time to refresh the mind and focus on Vegas Golden Knights hockey!

I'm going to be 100% honest with you here. This summer was an absolute drag. Losing to the Edmonton Oilers combined with only having one major North American sport on made for a dreadful summer waiting for the Golden Knights to return.

It's similar to having an accident from a long car ride because you couldn't hold it in. You feel the mushiness inside (and it reeks, too!). Looks like it's time for a change (literally)!

Luckily, that isn't the case with the Golden Knights since the team doesn't have that problem. Vegas is ready to win another Stanley Cup and bring the hardware back to Sin City. All that starts with the Sharks on Sunday.

But the Golden Knights shouldn't let that get to their heads. They must block out the noise, whether it's Mitch Marner talk or Jack Eichel rumors regarding his contract extension. Otherwise, it'll be a bumpy ride with everyone laughing at you.

Buckle up, everyone. It's going to be a fun ride.
