Sunday thoughts about... procrastination and work

Sometimes, we just need the day off.

You know, I really didn't want to do this post today. I felt like sleeping in all day and taking the day off from writing. Sometimes, you feel drained from doing all the work and want someone to take the load off for me.

Oh well. Beggars can't be choosers.

The Vegas Golden Knights would love to relax a bit after a turbulent NHL Draft. They traded Pavel Dorofeyev to the New York Rangers for draft picks, turning these draft picks into even more draft picks. Think about how much that could help the Golden Knights in securing a big-name player.

That's why it's hard for Kelly McCrimmon to simply take the day off. Do you want to sit around and watch other teams pass you by like you're the Seattle Mariners? Or do you want to make the Stanley Cup Final on a routine basis and win titles?

That's why you go all-in on names like Dylan Larkin. That's why you look to move Adin Hill off the Golden Knights. Whatever you do, you don't want to be lazy and sit around on your arse all day. That's the difference between winners and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

What's a man to do in this situation? Well, get up off your arse and walk around, for one. Hit the gym and refresh your mind is another step. Whatever the case, powering through laziness is the key to succeeding. But sleeping also helps from time to time.
