Sunday thoughts about... playoff games

Yep, it's that time again. Time to do the playoffs. But this time, it'll be a personal trip for Game 1.

It's hard to believe that we've finally reached the Stanley Cup playoffs, yet here we are. The Vegas Golden Knights—despite a turbulent season that saw numerous changes—are back in the Stanley Cup playoffs. Heck, they even got a Pacific Division crown on their hands.

Hey, the second seed in the Western Conference isn't too bad, eh? All of that, despite the circumstances, should certainly make fans feel more confident about the playoffs. That's especially true with John Tortorella leading the team in the right direction.

And, yes, I know he's been mentioned on here numerous times since he was hired. However, it's what is bringing fans like me to Game 1 on Sunday. Fans are hopeful that the team can go on a surprising run with the new bench boss around. Considering that the goaltending and scoring have picked up in recent weeks, that should be good news.

Of course, I haven't had the best luck with the Golden Knights winning games with myself in attendance. Vegas has only won five games out of, like 15 or so games that I've made. Hopefully, the fortunes turn around on Sunday.

If not? It'll be a massive turnaround in the team's overall vibe. But I won't buy into that too much since I have faith. Time to move closer to winning a Stanley Cup again, boys. We've got 31 other teams to anger.
