When you go through a coaching change and have more losses than wins, people don't have high expectations of you. Yet, here we are, with the Golden Knights as your reigning Western Conference champions.
They did it behind a supercharged Mitch Marner, who came alive during the postseason and nearly won the Conn Smythe trophy. They also relied on Carter Hart to carry the load, which worked until the Stanley Cup Final. Sometimes, it takes a little miracle to make those dreams come true.
Of course, that leads to the main topic for today: predictions. Everyone has them, whether it's about the new NFL season or the upcoming NHL season. Most of the time, we're wrong with our predictions. But those times that we're right? Man, those hit like bliss.

I know that it might seem far-fetched to say this, considering that Eichel only had one power play goal last season. However, he also had the most shots on goal with 260. He was also third in goals scored with 27, pitting him behind Mark Stone (28) and Pavel Dorofeyev (37).
Besides, someone needs to score goals. Who else but the franchise face to push him past the century mark? It would establish Eichel in the conversation as one of the league's most important players.

You read that right, dear reader. Connor McDavid will make his way home to help the wunderkind, Gavin McKenna, end Toronto's decades-long Stanley Cup drought. If the Maple Leafs can bolster their team down the middle, they should be pushed to ungodly levels.
Of course, that's a massive if, considering that they've tried to build a superteam with little success before. Still, the bar's on the floor when your opponent's Jerry Jones, who only cares about turning his football team into a constant content mill. So, chin up, Maple Leafs fans! It could be worse.
The Philadelphia Eagles will beat the Buffalo Bills in the Super Bowl
Let's be real for a second. The city of Buffalo doesn't win anything in life. I mean, that's why Jack Eichel went to the Golden Knights. He didn't get the neck surgery he wanted and recognized that he wasn't going far with the Sabres. So... adios!
Still, the Eagles are the lone NFC East team to never face (and beat) the Bills in the Super Bowl. That changes this season as Jalen Hurts and company tush-push their way past a plate of Buffalo wings. Okay, that didn't come out as planned...
