On September 2, the Vegas Golden Knights announced their rosters for the upcoming Rookie Camp. Names such as Carl Lindbom, Mathieu Cataford, and Matyas Sapovaliv were mentioned as names on the roster, which shouldn't be surprising. These players have earned their reputations as solid prospects, giving the Golden Knights hope for the future.

But that brings in a pleasant surprise about the upcoming hockey season. It's returning. No more 125-degree days to melt your face off. No more waiting for the NHL to fully return. Now, hockey time is nearly upon us, when fans can fill T-Mobile Arena to root for the Golden Knights. There's no better time than October for the regular season to return, where fans can hang out at Beerhaus before the game.

Perhaps you can't wait for October 9 to roll around? Maybe you want something now to whet the appetite? No worries because the Rookie Challenge is coming up, too. That means the rookies will open camp soon and prepare for the upcoming year. Whether they'll make the initial roster remains to be seen. However, fans should be excited to hear Dan D'Uva calling Golden Knights games on the radio and hyping fans after every goal. So when should fans be ready for Rookie Camp to start?

Rookie Camp for the Vegas Golden Knights starts on September 12

Vegas Golden Knights rookies are set to open camp on September 12, ushering in the new hockey season. As mentioned, names like Carl Lindbom, Mathieu Cataford, and Trent Swick will be attending the Rookie Camp. 26 players (17 forwards, seven defensemen, and two goalies, to be exact) will be there, tapping into the fan's excitement.

The camp will be followed by the Rookie Faceoff, which happens on September 13 at El Segundo. Teams such as the Los Angeles Kings, Colorado Avalanche, and Seattle Kraken will participate in the competition, preparing prospects for the upcoming hockey season. The Golden Knights will play against the Kings, Kraken, and Utah Hockey Club during this challenge, where the action takes place at the Toyota Sports Performance Center.

Tis the season for hockey to return, Golden Knights fans! You've waited through blistering heat, people-watching on Fremont Street, having one beer in the fridge, and endless grinding at your regular jobs. The rookies and prospects will kick everything off on September 12, followed by the Rookie Faceoff the day after. It's time to be rewarded for rooting for one of the better teams since 2017 with NHL games, so get those goosebumps on the arms ready when you head to City National Arena on that Thursday.
