The Vegas Golden Knights get to have some fun on April 14. They're playing against the Colorado Avalanche in a "Multiversus NHL Face-Off." It takes characters from the popular Warner Bros. video game (yes, they have these) and inserts them into a hockey game.

Multiversus is like Super Smash Bros., only it uses Warner Bros. IPs instead of Nintendo IPs. Instead of Mario shooting fireballs, you're getting Shaggy turning Ultra Instinct. It's a fun game for the whole family and is out on all major video game platforms (excluding the Nintendo Switch).

But let's look at which Golden Knights superstars are similar to the beloved characters. Which of Vegas's most precious hockey stars are parallel to icons like Superman or Batman?

1. Logan Thompson

Speaking of Shaggy going Ultra Instinct, why not associate Logan Thompson with the legendary Scooby-Doo star? The goaltender was recently named the "Second Star of the Week" for making ridiculous saves.

Shaggy uses only 10% of his power in his fights. But it seems Thompson has used his full power in his last few starts. That's greatly benefited the Vegas Golden Knights, skyrocketing them up the Western Conference rankings. Plus, Thompson resembles Shaggy a little bit. Don't cross paths with the Calgary native or he'll use his full power.

2. Jack Eichel

The Vegas Golden Knights have searched for an iconic franchise player for so long. They needed someone who could lead the team to victory and appear as their respective face. Why not Jack Eichel as Bugs Bunny?

The cartoon rabbit can do anything and always comes out on top. That's what makes Bugs... Bugs. Imagine if the center did a team-up with LeBron James in a hockey-basketball crossover. That would sell movie tickets.

3. Jonathan Marchessault

When the Vegas Golden Knights need a big goal, they turn to their Superman-like player. That player happens to be Jonathan Marchessault, who's scored clutch goals for the boys in gold. With five game-winning goals this season, it's easy to see why.

Every solid sports team needs a clutch player. Whether it's Stephen Curry or Patrick Mahomes, these players save the day and don their capes for the home crowd. That's what the reigning Conn Smythe winner does, coming through in the clutch for Vegas.

4. Ivan Barbashev

For the Vegas Golden Knights, having a chaotic player that opponents can't tackle is a must. It's like that player's a hockey tornado, taking down anything in his path. That player is Ivan Barbashev, a physical specimen with 163 hits this season.

Therefore, it's safe to associate Barbashev with Taz. The Tasmanian Devil is a wrecking ball in a tornado, similar to the Russian forward. The only difference is the former Blue doesn't spit and destroy the locker room when he talks.

5. Noah Hanifin

Normally, one wouldn't see Rick Sanchez of Rick and Morty fame buddied up with Bugs Bunny. However, Jack Eichel is great friends with Noah Hanifin, who plays an unorthodox style on the ice. How so? The Boston native has a goal and five assists with the Golden Knights in 13 games despite being a defenseman.

Who knows? Maybe Hanifin goes "Wubba lubba dub dub" every time he scores a goal. Perhaps he might be a fan of the show. But Rick is chaotic in everything he does, similar to the Vegas Golden Knights defenseman.

6. Tomas Hertl

Batman is a "Jack of all Trades" type of superhero. He uses every weapon in his arsenal to protect Gotham from various villains. It's even harder for the "Caped Crusader" because he has to maintain his secret identity. That way, people don't find out he's Bruce Wayne, mega-millionaire of Gotham.

Granted, Tomas Hertl doesn't have that problem (unless there's something he's hiding from the world). However, the forward is expected to surprise hockey fans by hitting the ice soon. Hertl hopes to bring peace to Las Vegas and bring another Stanley Cup to the Vegas Golden Knights.
