Mathieu Cataford

You know a prospect's good when they've won an award in their respective league. They've shown their skills and talent to the hockey world with such an achievement, whether it's in the OHL or QMJHL. For Mathieu Cataford, being named the MVP of the latter league has made him a must-see prospect.

The Halifax Mooseheads superstar scored 40 goals and 50 assists in 65 games last season, earning him the top prize. Overall, he's been a top player in the QMJHL, scoring 88 goals and 123 assists in four seasons. He's put up impressive numbers in the amateur leagues and should get some time to shine with the Henderson Silver Knights soon.

Golden Knights fans can expect more from Mathieu Cataford and Matyas Sapovaliv when the two make it to the NHL level. They provide exciting offense and can facilitate the play easily. Along with a stud goaltender in Carl Lindbom, Cataford can lead the way with a seasoned scoring touch fit for the professional level.
