The Stanley Cup has been used for many purposes by the winning team. Whether it's Vegas Golden Knights legend, Phil Kessel, eating hot dogs out of the cherished prize, or eating cereal (cereal first, then milk), the historic award has had its fair share of different cuisines eaten from its gigantic bowl. However, former goaltender Roberto Luongo took it one step further, celebrating his Italian roots with a delicious dish.

Now that looks like a meal fit for a king. Just looking at that pasta dish makes you want to dive head-first and eat. Seriously, the tomato sauce in that creation looks like absolute heaven. The noodles look like they'd melt in the mouth from their fluent goodness. And that texture... Oh man, what a meal. It's enough for a hockey fan to make one scream out in pure excitement.

"BURY ME IN CHEESE!"

Not with this dish, Chris Pratt. Food like that tastes better from the Stanley Cup, especially if cooked fresh. After all, nobody likes cold, soggy food (lookin' at you, McDonald's fries from an hour ago).

But enough about that delicious pasta, for this is a post about other great foods eaten from the storied trophy. Imagining the limitless possibilities of eating items like Arby's curly fries or popcorn at the movie theater is fun. Even drinks like beer have been fed to viewing spectators. Therefore, let's indulge in this post and see what other delectable food items have been chowed down in the award.

Former Vegas Golden Knights legend Phil Kessel eats hot dogs from the Stanley Cup

The legend of Phil Kessel has many chapters to it. There's him never drinking water, which didn't stop him from achieving the title of the NHL's "Iron Man." One would wonder if he's secretly a camel in a hockey player's body. There are also rumors of him trading water... for Sour Patch Kids. Then there's the time he took the Stanley Cup to a golf course... to eat hot dogs from it.

The story essentially became a focal point of the lore of the former Vegas Golden Knights star. This happened during the Pittsburgh Penguins' 2017 title run. There he was, standing with another legend filled to the rim with meaty treats. Of course, it spawned a new meme for the NHL community, marrying the idea of Kessel and ballpark franks together.

He made another go-round with the meaty treats when the Golden Knights won their first title, as confirmed by Jack Eichel on Instagram. User "anthonyletigre" asked Eichel if the NHL's reigning "Iron Man" was gorging on hot dogs. He confirmed this question, sparking more amusement from the online crowd. Never change, Phil.

Bryan Rust eats French fries from the Cup

Not to be outdone by then-Pittsburgh Penguins teammate Phil Kessel, Bryan Rust literally slept with the Stanley Cup. But that's not the only bizarre thing he's ever done with the trophy. He also ate McDonald's French fries from it. It made its Twitter rounds, leaving fans to salivate at the prospect of eating piping-hot cut potatoes from the prestigious award. The 2017 victory must've been an incredible summer for the Penguins.

But let's go back to the potato snack for a second. Eating delicious French fries out of the Cup should be something the Vegas Golden Knights do when they're champions again. Why not do it with the superior fry in the curly fry? The savory flavor and fun shape make it ideal for celebrating a conquest of the NHL. Hopefully, Vegas will follow through with this and make it happen by going to Arby's or Jack in the Box.

Eating cereal from the Stanley Cup

One Stanley Cup tradition stands tall above the rest, though. One which has basically become an annual occurrence. That would be eating cereal from the prize. There are many reasons why this makes so much sense. Who wouldn't want to indulge in sugary goodness for breakfast?

Plus, there have been numerous players to partake in this ritual. Brad Marchand, Pat Maroon, and Vince Dunn are some names that have poured out a bowl and dug their spoons in. In fact, Florida Panthers star Sam Bennett plans on indulging in this tradition with his father. Quality time spent by an NHL star!

Alex Pietrangelo did this with his family in 2022-23. After the Vegas Golden Knights won their first championship, the defenseman took the Cup and spent quality time with his wife and three children by eating cereal. Hockey's a game steeped in deep tradition and lore. Eating breakfast from the most coveted prize in sports is certainly one of the most underrated.
