The summertime is nearly coming to an end. The kids are back in school and the temperatures will soon cool down. Obviously, that'll mean Vegas Golden Knights hockey will return, bringing a smile to the community. That'll also mean swimming pool season will end as the cooler temperatures settle in.
The one place that'll be on the radar for watch parties will be Stadium Swim at Circa Resort and Casino. Circa has earned a reputation as one of the better hotels in Las Vegas, specifically on Fremont Street. With Stadium Swim drawing a huge crowd of sports fans for the optimal sports-viewing experience, fans can see how their favorite team(s) are doing on the big screen.
That includes the Golden Knights, who will have the whole crew with them. That means seeing Chance and the Vegas Vivas, who will cheer the team to victory. It's part of the fan experience that makes hockey in Las Vegas special. Fans can gather at a casino or hotel and watch their favorite team win. After all, nothing beats watching the big game from a swimming pool, which is the optimal experience for Sin City sports fans.
Growing up as a hockey fan before the Vegas Golden Knights and Chance were a thing
Growing up as a hockey fan, the Detroit Red Wings were Stanley Cup playoff regulars. Therefore, it became routine for families and friends to sit outside and do outdoor activities. Whether it was cutting the lawn, playing with the dog, or playing baseball, having Ken Kal on the radio was an outdoor tradition in April or May.
Sometimes, playoff hockey would bleed into June, when the Red Wings were in a tight Western Conference Final or Stanley Cup Final battle. That would mean playing in the pool and listening to Kal call a Red Wings game. It was a different experience from heading to Stadium Swim at Circa Resort and Casino to meet with other Vegas Golden Knights fans.
Now, that experience will come full circle for hockey fans such as myself. Hanging out with Chance at the Golden Knights watch parties will be fun, especially when interacting with other fans. You get to hear their stories, how they became fans of the team, and who their favorite players are. Last season, the Nacho Daddy experience was a fun time. This year, my eyes will be set on going to Fremont Street for hockey fun.
