Leisure and entertainment are an essential part of our daily lives. Without them, we would be automated bots devoted to working. It would drive the average person to the point of a mental breakdown, leaving them unable to properly function. That's certainyl not a fun ordeal, especially with everything collapsing in the real world.

Besides, why is getting out of work on Friday such a popular activity? Nobody likes being locked up in a cubicle for 40 hours a week. It feels like a literal prison sentence, except you get money every week or two. But if you have a good salary, it's not as bad as one would think if you're in this camp.

For those that aren't, the good thing is we have the Vegas Golden Knights and their past successes. Making two Stanley Cup Finals and winning a championship eases the pain of regular life. It also helps to have superstars like Jack Eichel and Mark Stone delivering jaw-dropping goals to the masses.

These might provide a temporary distraction from the harsh reality of life. That's especially true when you don't know when you're getting another raise in your career again. However, there's no better distraction than hockey at T-Mobile Arena, whether it's watching Lee Orchard battle demonic figures or victory flamingoes on the ice.

What makes a good distraction for Vegas Golden Knights fans?

Let's say the Vegas Golden Knights are eliminated prematurely in the Stanley Cup playoffs. It could be a team like the Colorado Avalanche, led by Nathan MacKinnon and a high-powered offensive attack. It could be Pete DeBoer beating Vegas again with the Dallas Stars. It could be... Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers.

Whatever the case, there's no more Golden Knights hockey until next season. No more exciting battles from Lee Orchard or hard-hitting hockey. It's the equivalent of only having one beer left in the fridge.

Nobody wants to face such a disastrous situation, for they'll be subjected to real life's perils. Returning to reality means you must deal with unruly bosses and be fired for saying something impetuously. So what's a loving hockey fan to do when their favorite team is no longer playing? Why, having a good activity, of course.

Some activities to consider for Golden Knights fans

Here are some activities to NOT consider during the hot summer months. First, hiking during 100+ degree temperatures is not advised, especially if you don't have water. That's also true if a dog is hiking with you, where their paws can become singed from the pavement and rocks.

What you can do is go to a Las Vegas Aviators game. Minor league baseball offers hockey fans a chance to drink at Las Vegas Ballpark, where they can drink and socialize. There's also exciting soccer action with the Las Vegas Lights, who play at Cashman Field. It's worth watching this sport, specifically since they have similarities to hockey.

You can also break out your favorite NHL game and play as the Vegas Golden Knights. Bringing the Stanley Cup back to T-Mobile Arena is always a fun adventure, especially when you can spam Jack Eichel for 100 goals in a season. Regardless of what you do, make sure you're ready for when October rolls around. It'll be an epic time for everyone involved.
