Remembering a Former Golden Knight: James Neal
James Neal made plenty of history with the Vegas Golden Knights. Here's the other aspects that made him part of the franchise's history.
1. Vegas Origins
James Neal was another original expansion draft selection for the Vegas Golden Knights. He was one of the unprotected players for the Nashville Predators, being picked just before Deryk Engelland.
Neal spent his time on the Golden Knights' top line, putting out a productive season (more on that later). Of course, that should've come as no surprise, considering Neal scored 20+ goals in six straight seasons. The 36-year-old had successful tenures with Dallas (72 goals, 59 assists), Pittsburgh (89 goals, 95 assists) and Nashville (77 goals, 59 assists).
