Predicting Nicolas Roy's 2024-25 season with the Golden Knights

Nicolas Roy has the opportunity to show he can do more for the Vegas Golden Knights. He might be in a logjam of centers now, standing behind Jack Eichel, Tomas Hertl, and William Karlsson. However, he can maximize his role on the fourth line, creating offensive (and defensive) magic with Keegan Kolesar.

What does the new season hold for the center? He should score 11 goals and 24 assists in 2023-24. He should also have 80 hits, boosting his defensive standing with the Golden Knights. While it looks like a dropoff, those numbers can grow if he gets a better opportunity. He got some time on the top line last season, showing his capabilities of playing at a higher level.

That could translate into taking the next step with the Golden Knights. Roy can grow with the team and make himself into a valuable piece. If he can continue to use his big frame to put himself at an advantage offensively, there won't be a need to trade him anywhere. That could be a win-win for both sides.
