Predicting the 2024-25 season for Alexander Holtz with the Golden Knights

The new hockey season could go many ways for the young winger. He could take the next step in his developmental journey and score 20 or more goals. Another scenario would involve Tom Fitzgerald being proven right about the trade. It would signal that Alexander Holtz can't reach the next level as a hockey player, labeling him a bust.

Whatever, the case, there should be reason for optimism for the Vegas Golden Knights, specifically with the former first-round draft pick being 22 years old. A player with tremendous upside can help Vegas take the next step as a Stanley Cup contender. After all, Kelly McCrimmon has a decorated history of finding diamonds in the rough (see Chandler Stephenson).

With that, the newest linemate of William Karlsson should score 23 goals and 20 assists this season. He should score three power play goals and five power play assists, taking the first baby steps to fit into the Golden Knights lineup. It might not sound like much on the surface. However, he should tap into his upside with a new developmental staff in Vegas, something he never saw with the New Jersey Devils. That would put him one step closer to being... devilishly good.
