Prediction for 2024-25 for Alex Pietrangelo on the Vegas Golden Knights

Surprisingly, Alex Pietrangelo has been mentioned in trade rumors along with William Karlsson. This has concerned superstars such as Mitch Marner, who the Vegas Golden Knights have actively pursued. However, that could be a simple distraction that's avoided, especially with Pietrangelo's contract and age.

So what's in store for the Canadian defenseman? Will it be business as usual for the two-time Stanley Cup winner? This season, expect him to score six goals and 33 assists with the Golden Knights. Seven of those assists will come on the power play, bolstering Vegas on special teams. Defensively, he'll block 167 shots and commit 61 takeaways. These will still be respectable stats for the 34-year-old, who's still playing at a high level.

That might not stand out much to the average hockey fan. However, there's more to hockey than simply scoring goals. There's setting up your teammates for prime scoring opportunities and quarterbacking the power play. Pietrangelo does all this and more, making him a valuable piece for Vegas.
