Heading north to Calgary?

If you have the passport ready, another trip to consider is checking out the Saddledome in Calgary. Fun fact: Cool Runnings, the iconic film starring John Candy, was partially filmed in Calgary. Inspired by the Jamaican bobsled team debuting at the 1988 Winter Olympic Games in Calgary, the film was released in 1993.

The Flames were also one of the cheaper tickets in the NHL this season, with their secondary market prices hitting $153 (fifth-cheapest, according to TicketIQ). If Vegas Golden Knights fans don't mind a little snow (okay, there's a lot in Canada during the winter. Let's be real), this will be a trip worth checking out.

If Golden Knights fans want to check out some beautiful scenery, Banff National Park is the preferred destination for tourists. About 68-112 miles (110-180 kilometers) west of Calgary, Banff has 2,564 square miles (6,641 square kilometers) of mountainside scenery. Tourists will get a full view of Alberta's Rocky Mountains and numerous glaciers and ice fields. If getting the full winter experience sounds interesting, this is a trip to make for next season.
