Vegas Golden Knights fans haven't forgotten about what happened to Nick Suzuki. The infamous first-round pick was involved in the Max Pacioretty trade, marking one of the few Golden Knights errors in the trade market.

Granted, Pacioretty was serviceable with 97 goals and 97 assists in four seasons with the Golden Knights. However, Suzuki took off to another stratosphere with 154 goals and 280 assists in seven seasons.

Sacre bleu!

Suddenly, the Golden Knights have egg on their face with the deal. Now, Pacioretty is out of the NHL, while Suzuki continues to carry the Montreal Canadiens. That's not great, especially when you need younger blood in the lineup.

With the Golden Knights facing the Canadiens on Tuesday, let's look at the former first-round pick's stats against the team that drafted him. But I'm going to warn you right now. The stats aren't pretty for his former club, especially when the two teams face off.

Nick Suzuki has four goals and seven assists in 11 career games against the Vegas Golden Knights

Nick Suzuki hasn't forgotten what the Vegas Golden Knights have done to him. Entering Tuesday's game against the Montreal Canadiens, the former first-round pick has four goals and seven assists in 11 career games. That includes three multi-point games and a six-game point streak against the club that drafted him.

His most noteworthy game came on November 5, 2022, in Montreal. Here, he had two goals in a 6-4 loss to the Golden Knights. This game was ultimately decided by a pair of Original Misfits: Reilly Smith (two goals and six shots) and Jonathan Marchessault (one goal and one assist). While both Misfits received the first and third star, respectively, Suzuki received the second star of the night.

Still, Suzuki will be remembered for his revenge performance in the 2021 Stanley Cup playoffs. Here, he scored a goal and four assists between Games 3 and 5 in the semifinal round against Vegas. That included a dominant Game 5 performance, when he scored a goal and two assists. The result? A 4-1 win that catapulted the underdog Canadiens to the Stanley Cup Final.

Suzuki will have another chance for revenge on Tuesday against the team that drafted him. The superstar forward is leading the Canadiens to greater things for Canada's future, pushing them one step closer to Stanley Cup glory. With the Golden Knights reeling from the current road trip, that could be a complete possibility.
