The Tahoe Knight Monsters got a key forward returning for the 2025-26 season. Adam Pitters will return to the ECHL club for this upcoming season after scoring three goals and 10 assists in 2024-25. He also carries vital experience from other leagues.
In the SPHL, he scored two goals and eight assists in eight games with the Fayetteville Marksmen in 2023-24. The forward also scored five goals and five assists while playing for Long Island University that same season.
Pitters might not be the biggest guy on the ice, standing at 5'10" and weighing 180 lbs. But he does have a proven scoring pedigree with 27 goals and 48 assists in 116 games (three seasons) at the NAHL level. That included an incredible 2017-18 campaign, where he scored 15 goals and 18 assists in 54 games.
The native of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, has shown that he can run alongside any attack and make offensive magic happen. Despite his physical shortcomings, he has enough zip to skate alongside his peers and set up plays. Sensing the next play or what the defense will do makes him one of a kind, especially with a fast-moving Knight Monsters attack.
Unfortunately, there isn't much room for him at the NHL level. Even with the Golden Knights being limited in terms of forward prospects, Kelly McCrimmon is well-known for filling voids with viable veteran talent. Still, prospects like Trevor Connelly and Mathieu Cataford are bound to get a call-up soon, leaving Pitters behind.
Still, the Grosse Pointe native can carve out a solid role with the Knight Monsters in 2025-26. He can build off his breakout season and add more to Tahoe's overall attack. Adding a player who sees the ice and the play unfold well will help them get over the top.
After all, you have your own promise to fulfill. Pitters can make that happen.
