John Tortorella says that there's no concern with one Smith

The Vegas Golden Knights can't afford to lose any more Smith's. Thank goodness that this one is okay.

Vegas Golden Knights fans were concerned about one particular Smith being hurt in Game 3's 5-3 win over the Colorado Avalanche. They thought it might've been a wrist injury that would've knocked him out of commission, leaving the team shorthanded.

Okay, not as many fans were concerned, considering that it wasn't an Original Misfit. Yes, we're talking about you, Reilly Smith. Instead, it was Cole Smith who appeared injured. Still, Tortorella says that everything is okay on the Cole front.

The other Smith hasn't had the best showing during the Stanley Cup playoffs. While he started well against the Utah Mammoth (two goals and two assists), he hasn't scored since Game 6 of that series. On top of that, he leads the Golden Knights in penalty minutes with 20.

Still, you need the other Smith for a few reasons. One, he's a great penalty killer when he's not in the penalty box. He's terrific at making exits and gravitates towards the puck, administering painful hits in the process. Speaking of physical checking, that's where he also thrives, delivering 63 hits this postseason. 63!

You need that type of physical presence to deliver the pain, whether it's against teams like the Utah Mammoth or the Anaheim Ducks. The Golden Knights are one win away because of this, leaving them on the doorstep of angering the NHL Universe once again.

If Smith (the other one) can add some points to the mix, it'll go a long way in ensuring that happens. Thank goodness, because it's high time that the haters get their Jimmies rustled. It doesn't matter if it's Mitch Marner winning the Conn Smythe by working his magic or another Cole Smith hit. The "Evil Empire" needs all parts of the wheel functioning.
