Colorado Avalanche: One more goaltender
The Colorado Avalanche have had troubles with netminders this season. Alexanda Georgiev (3.38 GAA, .874 save percentage in 18 games with the Avalanche) has been so bad that he was traded to the San Jose Sharks. He's been a far cry from his 2022-23 season, which saw him post a GAA of 2.53, a save percentage of .919, and five shutouts.
Maybe the Avalanche would like Ilya Samsonov (3.06 GAA, .897 save percentage) so they can hoard all the goaltenders. It won't happen since both the Avalanche (Scott Wedgewood and Mackenzie Blackwood) and the Golden Knights (Adin Hill and Samsonov) are set at the position. Still, it's a funny idea to think about.
Nashville Predators: Youth and a complete overhaul
Remember when everyone picked the Nashville Predators to win the 2025 Stanley Cup in the preseason? Signing Jonathan Marchessault, Steven Stamkos, and Brady Skjei raised some eyebrows, with everyone thinking they were ready to go all-in.
However, the Predators are dead-last in the NHL with 25 points. Marchessault (nine goal, 20 points), Stamkos (nine goals, 19 points), and Skjei (11 points) have been nowhere to be found this season. So why not start from scratch and give the team the necessary overhaul it needs?
