Seattle Kraken: Jake O'Brien (eighth overall)
O'Brien has a chance to fit into Seattle's top-six forward group. He's known for generating high-danger chances and making plays without any issues. Combine that with incredible on-ice vision and he could become an All-Star center in the Kraken lineup.
Of course, this is contingent on whether Seattle can break through and be a Stanley Cup contender. Signing older guys past their prime won't be the cure that they think it is. However, crazier things have happened (like an expansion team making the Stanley Cup Final in their first season).
Anaheim Ducks: Roger McQueen (10th overall)
The Anaheim Ducks are making big moves all around, acquiring Chris Kreider and naming Joel Quenneville as their head coach. Now? They got Roger McQueen (no relation to Steve).
The Saskatoon native is big, standing at 6'6". However, he can stand to add more bulk to his frame, for he weighs 190 pounds. He's also capable of putting up monster numbers, scoring 29 goals and 58 assists in 2019-20 with the Saskatoon Stallions... in 31 games. "Ka-Chow!"
Anaheim loved him so much that he was sent on a helicopter to meet Lightning McQueen and Donald Duck. As they say, "Life is a highway."
Ducks are bringing newly selected Roger McQueen to Disneyland tonight in a helicopter.
