A wise man once said, "Fun Must Be Always"—at least, that's how the story goes. I was talking with a fellow journalist at a Vegas Golden Knights practice who covered Hertl's adventures in San Jose. He had an interesting story about the Czech Olympian and how the iconic phrase came about.

He talked about how Hertl knew little English while playing in the Bay Area. In fact, it got to the point where he had to be fed English phrases to get his point across. We're talking about repeating what one person said so that he could sound coherent to the American audience.

One of those phrases happened to be the iconic "Fun Must Be Always" phrase, which became a staple in the Bay Area hockey community. He even shared the memorable Twitter post, where he was hanging out with the senior community during a swim and exercise session.

That only boosted his popularity within the NHL sphere, making him an endearing figure. It's no wonder that his popularity translated well into the Vegas Golden Knights atmosphere. Golden Knights fans saw the charm and likability that the former Shark displayed. It also helps that he scores plenty of power play goals. That part's important, too.

Since the NHL season is 48 days away on Wednesday, let's celebrate everyone's favorite turtle with an honorary post. Here are some iconic moments from the super turtle, along with some fun facts about Hertl himself. Fun must be always, my friend!

Dedicating the upcoming NHL season to Vegas Golden Knights star Tomas Hertl with some awesome moments

First, Tomas Hertl has revolutionized the Golden Knights' power play. Ever since he was acquired from the San Jose Sharks, the Golden Knights have had a power play percentage of 26.9%. That's second-best in the NHL, only behind the Edmonton Oilers (27.1%). Along the way, Hertl has scored 28 power play goals, making him one of the most important man-advantage figures on the Golden Knights.

Mind you, that's also second-best on the Golden Knights in that span, ranking only behind Pavel Dorofeyev (33 power play goals). The good news? Dorofeyev was traded to the New York Rangers during the summer, so expect Hertl to pass that record, barring any devastating injuries. Who knows? The Czech Olympian just might take that single-season power play goals record away from Dorofeyev in the future.

But it's also expressive moments like this that make Hertl special. Imagine being in a tight battle with the Colorado Avalanche in the Western Conference Final and you see this.

"WHAT A MANEUVER!" Hertl has the moves that would've made him perfect for the earlier days of WWE Raw. I guarantee that Gorilla Monsoon's jaw would've hit the floor.

Here's to another incredible season with the beloved turtle that has fun like always. Tomas Hertl continues to bring smiles to everyone's faces in Las Vegas, making him a franchise staple. Here's to also moving closer to the NHL season and to celebrating more power play goals with the "Fun Must Be Always" ambassador.
