Do you want to know the most annoying thing in the world? No, it isn't lawyers from Florida, nor is it people from Florida or Florida overall (although those three can be annoying). It's the failed comeback. It seems to be a recurring theme for the Golden Knights this season as they lost to the Washington Capitals on Friday.
Of course, you can also add waiting in line at the DMV, or sitting next to two drunk, oblivious guys, as also being annoying. Heck, even some blond-haired valley girl chomping her gum next to you and not caring can be just as grating (seriously, I can smell your mint. Close your mouth and think about those around you). Like, you want to pour popcorn all over these things and tear your hair out. But nope, the failed comeback takes the cake.
It all starts with the Golden Knights falling into a hole of three or four goals. It usually happens in one period (10 minutes or less if you're even more unlucky). Then, the third period happens and you'd think the Golden Knights touched a starman from Super Mario Bros. All of this for them to...
...Fall short. Oh well, there are other games to be played this season. Let's look back at the week that was as everyone made their glorious returns from the Olympic break.
Mitch Marner got his 800th point, while Tomas Hertl got his 600th point
Mitch Marner and Tomas Hertl have done exceptional work in the NHL, creating all sorts of goals and assists. They've made names for themselves with the Toronto Maple Leafs and the San Jose Sharks, respectively, becoming a couple of dynamic players in the process.
Both added personal accolades on Friday, with Marner grabbing his 800th point and Hertl snagging his 600th point. The winger grabs the assist while the "Fun Must Be Always" ambassador gets the power play goal in the third period.

It seems that it's business as usual for the two on the power play. Both superstars are creating magic and setting up "golden" opportunities, giving the Golden Knights more oomph.
Jack Eichel and Noah Hanifin have a trip of a lifetime
Two Boston boys go to a nightclub in Miami and live it up. Then, they go to the White House to munch on Chicken McNuggets and Big Macs. It should be the movie blockbuster that everyone's been waiting for, specifically for Las Vegas audiences.
However, that's the little adventure that Jack Eichel and Noah Hanifin went on this week. The two Olympians joined the Golden Knights on Friday after a fun-filled week. Why, you ask?
The United States defeated Canada for Olympic gold
That's right, folks. "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd is still blasting throughout the United States as the Americans conquered their Northern neighbors. The Americans defeated Canada, 2-1, earning their first gold medal since 1980.
The win might've been unusually controversial in many circles. But the United States is back on top and leaving Milan with Olympic gold. Ladies and gentlemen, we're in a new age of hockey and the Americans are leading the way.
