Oh boy, is this where we get the bad ending? Or can the Golden Knights pull off a miracle and win another Stanley Cup?

Boy, this isn't a good position to be in. The Vegas Golden Knights are down in the Stanley Cup Final, 3-2. If history has shown us anything, it's that the odds are certainly not in the Golden Knights' favor. Like, a 74% chance of the Game 5 winner winning the Stanley Cup? That's bad news for the Golden Knights.

To make matters worse, you're losing key players to injuries. It doesn't matter which Original Misfit suffers an apparent wrist injury or gets a puck to the face. The Golden Knights seem to be snake-bitten in this Stanley Cup Final. In fact, it's to the point where they've nearly blown a four-goal lead in a game.

Is it time to start drowning your sorrows in pints? Or is it time to take the bull by the horns and rewrite history? That's the big question that the Golden Knights face on Sunday, where they'll try to salvage the series and extend the Stanley Cup Final by one more game.

In the meantime, let's look at the depressing week that was for the Golden Knights. It mostly featured bad news, ranging from lossing games to losing players. I'm warning you: you might need a waste basket to throw up in after seeing this.

The Vegas Golden Knights have broken down against the Carolina Hurricanes, thanks to Jordan Staal

Ever since the Golden Knights had a near-catastrophe against the Hurricanes in Game 3, they've been, well, less than inspiring. They lost the next two games to be put on the brink of elimination, thanks to Jordan Staal.

The Hurricanes Captain has six goals in five Stanley Cup Final games, making him one of the favorites for the Conn Smythe trophy. Vegas must figure out a way to stop his hungry style and neutralize him for the series remainder.

William Karlsson leaves Game 5 with an apparent upper-body injury

As if losing Game 5 against the Carolina Hurricanes wasn't enough, the Vegas Golden Knights also saw their Original Misfit, William Karlsson, go down. That's not great for a Golden Knights team looking to win a Stanley Cup while being down 3-2.

The Golden Knights have been in all sorts of shambles in the past week, especially after reeling from a near-collapse in Game 3. Vegas will need a "next-man-up" mentality if they wish to pull off the impossible without their Misfit. Otherwise, it'll be a silver medal finish for the Golden Knights.

The Stanley Cup Final ratings are through the roof

Who said that this was going to be the most boring Stanley Cup Final ever? Did you say that out of a pure reaction to the Golden Knights playing? Perhaps you didn't like Carolina's style of play? Whatever the case, Disney is laughing its arse off at the very prospect of the Stanley Cup Final being boring.

The ratings for each game have hovered between 4.5 and five million, making it one of the most watched Stanley Cup Finals in recent memory. It looks like both teams are putting on a show and leaving hockey fans in awe. May we get a Game 7, please?
