You know, I was looking for images to use for this article until I came across a photo of Mark Stone. Believe it or not, I instantly fell in love with the picture since it was memeworthy. Like, think of the possibilities for a second.

You're listening to someone bull*hit their way through a story and tell grandiose lies. You're sitting there nodding and listening (and also wondering when they're going to stop). You're also watching something that catches your eye. Suddenly, you're amused and can't wait to see what happens next.

I can't help but fall in love with the picture and I hope that you use it for a meme or two during the season. Who knows? It might be for the incoming jersey reveal that will come sooner rather than later. Anyways, memes are Vegas-Born again!

Anyway, here's what went down in the Realm this week. There were plenty of noteworthy moments from the organization, ranging from jerseys to The Athletic becoming "Public Enemy No. 1" in Las Vegas. Let's get ready to create some memeworthy moments and celebrate the Golden Knights inching a day closer to returning.

The Vegas Golden Knights are getting a new jersey!

With the NHL announcing the Hometown Remix jerseys to the public, it's only fitting that the Vegas Golden Knights get a jersey, too. The Golden Knights will have new threads after ditching the fan-favorite gray jersey. So, what does the jersey consist of, you ask?

Well, it reflects the city's culture and celebrates what the team represents. That means you'll probably see the city skyline, along with some form of neon in the mix. Regardless, it looks like another $200 will be flying out of my wallet for the 2026-27 season.

The Athletic laid a beating on the Golden Knights this week

First, they came after the prospect pool that the Golden Knights had. They dunked on the players who were coming into the league and being developed. After all, Vegas has a reputation for not drafting well, which is why they trade most of their first-round picks (okay, that's not the reason).

Then, they said that the Golden Knights' magical run would end in five seasons. The funny thing is that Vegas is the fourth-best team in these rankings, which would put them in the playoff hunt. Regardless, The Athletic laid into the organization during the week, leaving them battered and bruised. What happened to the kinder things?

Who could cause the most trouble for the Golden Knights this season?

Could it be the Los Angeles Kings? What about the Edmonton Oilers? Do Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl have enough juice in the tank to keep Edmonton flowing? Don't forget about the San Jose Sharks, who have that Macklin Celebrini guy?

Regardless, the Golden Knights have plenty of competitors for the Pacific Division crown. Yes, even the Kraken could be thrown into the mix since they owned Vegas last season. Regardless, hockey season is nearly upon us, which means that it's time to look over your shoulder.
