News got out that Jeremy Lauzon took a puck to the head in Game 6 against the Utah Mammoth. Therefore, he wasn't on the ice for the morning skate ahead of Monday's Game 1 against the Anaheim Ducks. So, who stepped onto the ice for the Vegas Golden Knights? None other than Dylan Coghlan.
I don’t see Jeremy Lauzon, who took a shot off his head in Game 6, on the ice for Vegas practice this morning.

Dylan Coghlan is out here.
This regular season, the defenseman had 14 goals and 30 assists with the Silver Knights. He even played three games with the Golden Knights this regular season, where he produced no points.
The move is seen as precautionary, given that Lauzon wasn't seen at practice today. Of course, Ben Hutton was also on the ice for Sunday's practice, per Jesse Granger. But it's best to be safe in this scenario, given that the Golden Knights are starting to deal with some injury problems.
Jack Eichel left Sunday's practice with a towel to his face. Fortunately, that wasn't as severe a concern on the bench and the superstar did return to practice afterwards. The injury bug could be a major problem that bugs the Golden Knights against the Anaheim Ducks.
Luckily, there are players like Coghlan that can step into the fold. They have NHL experience and know how the game functions when the stakes are high. Of course, there are also players like William Karlsson who will step in and ease the burden. But let's see what happens with Coghlan in the next few days.
