The Vegas Golden Knights made some precautionary moves on Tuesday, recalling Kai Uchacz, Tanner Laczynski, and Dylan Coghlan from the Henderson Silver Knights. The move is seen as a depth move with a defenseman, a center, and an extra player called up.

It makes sense with Jack Eichel and Noah Hanifin being removed from the roster. The two Boston boys won Olympic gold on Sunday and took a detour to Miami to celebrate. There's also the State of the Union address that President Donald Trump invited the team to, indicating the possibility of the guys staying in Washington, D.C.

This season, Uchacz has seven goals and 20 assists in 44 games with the Silver Knights. He played two games with the Golden Knights last season, not registering a single point. Coghlan has 11 goals and 13 assists in 37 games with Henderson, while playing two games with Vegas this season. Laczynski has 15 goals and 28 assists in 40 games with the AHL club, even earning All-Star honors at the minor league level. In fact, he has two assists in nine games with the Golden Knights in 2025-26.

The moves already have fans chalking up their next game against Los Angeles as a scheduled loss. The Kings got Artemi Panarin before the Olympic break, adding more scoring depth to their team. Sure, Los Angeles might not score many goals, especially with Kevin Fiala done for the season. However, they've also given Vegas trouble in recent years.

The good news? The Golden Knights are well-rested and are ready to go. Hockey's back in Las Vegas and the journey for Stanley Cup No. 2 is live. The post-Olympic stretch allows Vegas a chance to showcase their talents and make a deep run. Fans might even see the three call-ups score a point or two in their appearances!
