I can't tell you how many times I've been to Toshiba Plaza for a Vegas Golden Knights playoff game. I went to the Game 5 Stanley Cup clincher in 2023, taking the day off work to witness a story wrapping up. It was a promise fulfilled by Bill Foley as the Golden Knights healed a community with a Stanley Cup win.
Of course, that was the first Toshiba Plaza watch party that I ever went to. I never witnessed over 300,000 people packed like sardines to see a Golden Knights team heal broken hearts everywhere. This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate with my fellow fans and prove that Las Vegas was a hockey town. I mean, just look at this lively celebration!
This is what it looks like when good ownership and a team uniting a community after a tragedy look like. It's the ultimate payoff experienced by a fanbase starved after the first taste of success in 2018.
It didn't matter if it was a gazillion degrees Fahrenheit outside or if you had to work early the next day. Heck, it didn't even matter if you were bruised from all the elbowing going on during the game. A Toshiba Plaza watch party was the place to be if you couldn't get inside of the building.
Say you want to come down for a watch party at Toshiba Plaza. You're not looking to pay hundreds of dollars for a single-game ticket where the outcome is essentially a coin flip. Allow me to prepare you for what you can expect from a Toshiba Plaza watch party during a Vegas Golden Knights Stanley Cup playoff run.
What does a Vegas Golden Knights watch party look like at Toshiba Plaza?
Let me share a fun little experience that I had when entering Toshiba Plaza. The Vegas Golden Knights work with Revolt Tattoo for free tattoos (yes, you read that right!) before most watch parties. I got my second tattoo before Game 6 of last season's Stanley Cup Final. Absolutely worth it.
However, there's a catch. You must get there extremely early. Like, we're talking about getting there five or six hours before the game starts. This is perhaps the most popular booth for Golden Knights fans, yet it's worth getting there early. That's especially true if you're a tattoo veteran or a budding tattoo connoisseur like me.
There's also a gigantic Coke vendor that serves alcoholic drinks and Ghost Energy drinks. I always make it a habit of getting an additional drink during the intermission, so I stay awake. Of course, there's also a Ghost Energy vendor where you can grab a drink for free before the game. I highly recommend grabbing one before the game starts.
Toss in some musical acts (think Steve Aoki) before the game, along with the standard merchandise shops, a DJ, and a giant television screen, and you have the ultimate Las Vegas hockey-viewing experience. Here's hoping that the Golden Knights go on another deep run so you can experience this for yourself this season!
