Ahh, routines. They're the things that help us navigate life's complete unpredictability. Without them, we'd lose our sanity trying to figure out what to do with ourselves. Now that's no fun, is it?
That can range from getting ready for a dinner date to going to a Vegas Golden Knights game. Yes, there's a routine for seeing William Karlsson skate on the ice with his teammates. I know, it seems like it's a tad excessive.
However, there's a good reason for that! Without it, you're risking paying for too much in terms of parking. You're also eating at an expensive restaurant that could set you back in terms of credit card debt. Believe me, nobody's keen on credit card debt.
So let's a-walk through the average gameday experience from a personal account. Where do I park? Where do I eat? These are important details that we must go over!
1.) I get my William Karlsson jersey
I remember the Marc-Andre Fleury jersey that my parents got me for one Christmas. I cherished it during the Golden Knights' first Stanley Cup Final run, wearing it during every playoff run. Unfortunately, it had seen better days. Therefore, I bought a William Karlsson jersey and retired the old one.
I throw the Karlsson jersey on and gather my belongings. I can't forget my wallet and my keys! Otherwise, it's open season on my place, where thieves will take everything, including my... 16-year-old cat?
2.) I drive to Treasure Island
Yes, Treasure Island. I make sure to arrive two or three hours early. Why? I'm not sitting in Las Vegas 9-to-5 traffic while contemplating my life choices.
Plus, Treasure Island has free parking. In a dystopian world where every Las Vegas resort is trying to milk you for every dime and penny you have, Treasure Island is a refreshing break from the monotony.
3.) Walk to Beerhaus
The Beerhaus walk might be about an hour long. However, it's good for a couple of reasons. One, you automatically get your 2,000 steps in for the day. You're getting exercise and improving yourself with every step.
Two, you get to meet all sorts of characters. That includes the monks charading as legit Buddhist monks and half-naked girls who are THICC. When I say THICC, I mean they are packing and are thicker than Cardi B.
4.) Hang out at Beerhaus
Every Golden Knights hockey game isn't complete without a little adventure to Beerhaus. Obviously, you must check out the sign they put up before every game since it's comedy gold. But the food is just as delectable and delicious.
I always order a black bean burger, which hits the spot. After all, beans help you clear out the system... with a little bit of gas. Plus, Jenga and outdoor views of the Strip? Sign me up!
5.) Head to T-Mobile Arena
Luckily, Beerhaus isn't too far from our destination: T-Mobile Arena. It's literally a skip and a hop from the hockey fan's headquarters, making this prime real estate. Not too far from New York New York, you can enjoy the pre-game vibes at Toshiba Plaza while waiting to get into the Fortress.
After that? Game time! It's the best feeling in the world when you enter the arena and take in the view from above (or ice level, in some cases). That's why there's no greater feeling than being a hockey fan.
