Did you have a good Valentine's Day? Perhaps you and your significant other enjoyed the United States establishing its athletic hegemony over another unfortunate nation in Denmark, doubling them up 6-3. After that, you had a nice steak dinner and did some... extra credit.
But in all seriousness, there are plenty of reasons why Las Vegas has fallen in love with its hockey team. They won a Stanley Cup, have been to another Stanley Cup Final, and have healed the community. Of course, that comes with being consistently successful, which has become commonplace for the Golden Knights.
That will always bring a crowd to you. Think about the big-name artists and the residencies that come with it. The only difference is that it comes on the ice, where everyone adores them.
The only difference is that these fans haven't started following the team a couple of years ago (not like the WillMack people with three teams in their X bios). They've been with Vegas since "Day F*****g One," watching them finally capture glory in 2023.
But back to the note of Valentine's Day for a second. There are four names that Golden Knights fans absolutely love. I'm talking about worshipping them and growing attached to their little mannerisms on (and off!) the ice. Here are those four names that Golden Knights fans can't get enough of.
1.) Tomas Hertl
An infectious personality, combined with making the power play 10 times better, has had plenty of Vegas Golden Knights fans attached to the Czech Olympian. Scoring 22 goals and 27 assists this season will have people grow attached to you as well.
That's not even mentioning the infectious smile and the "Fun Must Be Always" demeanor. It's easy to see why Golden Knights fans have grown attached to Hertl as a player and a person—even if he was a former San Jose Shark.
2.) Mark Stone
This season has seen a points eruption from the Golden Knights' captain. He's in the Top Five in points per game (1.46) and has anchored the Golden Knights offensively.
He's also a Canadian Olympian who's energizing his home nation. Scoring a goal will do that for Canada, being an integral part in making them into the proverbial juggernaut. Maybe people secretly love Stone and they don't want to admit it.
3.) William Karlsson
It doesn't matter if you've seen the Original Misfit with his adorable family or his memorable Stanley Cup parade speech. Golden Knights fans have grown attached to William Karlsson, especially with his franchise contributions.
Add in the fact that he's been with the team since "Day F*****g One" and it's easy to see why fans love him. Well, almost all fans. Some have soured in recent years and have forgotten about his fun traits. Oh well.
4.) Jack Eichel
Obviously, the franchise face is beloved by the Golden Knights fanbase. He set franchise records in single-season assists (66) and points (94) last season. The American Olympian is well on his way to etching his name as the greatest Golden Knight in franchise history.
