4 disappointing Golden Knights who didn't show up in 2024-25

Not everyone was solid with the Vegas Golden Knights. Four Golden Knights players were disappointing in the 2024-25 season.

4.) Alexander Holtz

Now, for arguably the biggest disappointment of the 2024-25 season: Alexander Holtz. I'll admit that even I misread the Swedish forward. 16 goals and 12 assists looked promising on the surface while with the New Jersey Devils. However, it appears Tom Fitzgerald and company stunted the winger's growth.

The result? Four goals and eight assists in the next season. While he had a better 16-game campaign with Henderson (seven goals and six assists), the sting of being a combination of bad luck and disappointing play hurt him. Now? Kelly McCrimmon is searching for better options in the lineup.

The good news is he's 23 years old. The bad news? He's a restricted free agent. Even with a modest increase from his $894,167 cap hit, Holtz must show he can be the sniping winger as promised. Otherwise, he'll go down as one of the biggest disappointments in Golden Knights history.
