2024-25 has seen all sorts of franchise records fall for the Vegas Golden Knights. First, the single-season assists record fell by Jack Eichel's hand, where he currently stands at 66. Next came the points record, which Eichel also broke. Then came the single-season power play goals record. No, that wasn't broken by Eichel. Instead, Tomas Hertl broke that one.

All these records lead to another excellent season for the Golden Knights. They're on their way to their fourth Pacific Division title in franchise history and are closing in on 100 points. Who knows what could be achieved next?

Could Jack Eichel be the first player in franchise history with 100 points?

Could Dorofeyev claim the power play goals record for himself?

All these questions make the 2024-25 season even more intriguing. Who knows what heights this team will reach in their pursuit of their second Stanley Cup?

But three more records could fall in the future. These records could be because certain players are getting started in their hockey careers. It's also because they're straight-up awesome, making the game of hockey look... Well, effortless. Obviously, Eichel comes to mind in this regard. However, he's not the only one who could break the following records.

1.) Single-season goals record

In 2017-18, William Karlsson set the standard for goal-scoring. He scored 43 goals in the Vegas Golden Knights' inaugural season, leading them to the Stanley Cup Final. That record sounds lofty by Vegas standards. However, a good sniper will take it down.

Jonathan Marchessault nearly did this in 2023-24 with 42. But why not Pavel Dorofeyev? The Russian winger has emerged as the premier goal-scoring option for Vegas. He's taking sniping to a whole new level, adding a new dimension to the league's best power play. That's why he's tied for the team lead with 31 goals.

But the kicker is he's 24 years old. He has all the time in the world to shatter this record and claim it as his. When will it happen? Stay tuned. That could be the next big step for 2025-26.

2.) Single-season power play goals

Tomas Hertl already broke the single-season mark set by Erik Haula in 2017-18. He now stands at 14 with Dorofeyev hot on his trail. It stands with good reason that this record could be usurped this season if Hertl doesn't return.

The 24-year-old is making the most of his breakout season with 13 power play goals. Technically, he broke Haula's record as well. However, he could hold this record by season's end thanks to his sniping abilities and left-handed shot. If not this season, watch for him to compete with his Czech teammate for power play supremacy. It could be the battle for the ages.

3.) All-time goals

Currently, Jonathan Marchessault is the franchise leader in all-time goals for the Golden Knights. He has 192 goals with Vegas, making him the de facto goal-scorer. However, William Karlsson isn't far behind.

The fellow "Misfit" has 159 with the Golden Knights entering Tuesday, putting him 33 back from tying. After 2024-25, he has two more seasons in Las Vegas, giving him ample time to seize the record. Given his relatively clean health bill (prior to this season), he may break this in his last contractual season.
