The referees were atrocious on Thursday

Jack Eichel gets tripped. No call. Tyler Tucker gets called for a weak high-sticking call against Tanner Laczynski. The Vegas Golden Knights score. Keegan Kolesar goes to the penalty box for a weak interference call. There was a common theme between both teams on Thursday: Bad referees.

It seems the Golden Knights and St. Louis Blues were victims of horrible refereeing. Both teams combined for eight penalty minutes, with each club getting two power play opportunities. But there were missed calls throughout the night, with social media calling out the referees. Maybe they should call a lawyer and get some compensation for the traumatic experience.

Sometimes, you take such things in stride and move on. Luckily for the Golden Knights, they benefited from the bad calls, getting a power play goal from Pavel Dorofeyev. But these referees would be perfect for Roger Goodell's NFL. There, they can help Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs get another Super Bowl.
