Now you're playing with power... Golden Knights power
Just when people were concerned about the Golden Knights power play being useless, they scored in seven straight games. Pavel Dorofeyev picked up where he left off with another power play goal in the second period, his 21st goal of 2024-25. By the way, Dorofeyev has 10 points in his last six games.
What's more, the Golden Knights have scored on 40% of their man-advantage opportunities in that span (8-20). The uprising continues for a unit that has carried the team through the regular season, leading them to the top of the Pacific Division. That's with the Edmonton Oilers hot on their tails, where they were a point behind Vegas heading into Thursday's game.
On even strength, the Golden Knights are still working out the kinks and re-establishing their offensive groove. But if Vegas can carry their momentum on special teams over, they can form a nice winning streak in the process. Imagine how the rest of the NHL would feel seeing the rejuvenated Golden Knights power play.
