Pettersson and Eichel would make an incredible duo
Everyone knows about how terrific Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are together. They're the engines that make the Oilers go, keeping them atop the Pacific Division perch. But what would happen if Jack Eichel got his own Draisaitl? Enter the Vancouver Canucks superstar.
Sure, 11 goals and 19 assists entering Monday don't seem like much for a hockey superstar in 2024-25. But he did score 39 goals and 63 assists in 2022-23, followed by 34 goals and 55 assists the next season. The Golden Knights would add another lethal weapon on the power, considering Pettersson has 56 career goals and 87 career assists on the man advantage.
The Canucks are in a down year offensively, only scoring 2.79 goals per game entering Monday. A change of scenery would unleash a deadly offensive force in the NHL, making the Golden Knights the top dogs. The only hope is for the opponent to outscore Vegas in a barn-burner by simply firing numerous pucks at the net.
