That's why I laugh at the notion that the Golden Knights are privileged. No, they're not a model from Los Angeles who successfully starts a YouTube channel and gets modeling gigs at 20 years old because they're pretty. Instead, Golden Knights fans have had their hearts broken numerous times, specifically during the Stanley Cup playoffs.
And yes, there are more unfortunate moments that plague this "privileged" franchise. In fact, the Stanley Cup playoff history tells of three more disheartening events that still haunt the fanbase to this day.

3.) The Vegas Golden Knights blow a 4-0 lead against the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final
Everything was going well for the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 3. Mitch Marner had a hat trick and the boys in gold were in control of the Carolina Hurricanes, heading into the third period.
Then, one goal goes in for Carolina. Then, another. Then, another.
Then, the fourth goal happens. Somewhere, Sean McDonough is turning into the Randy Marsh meme in front of his computer.
Ultimately, the Golden Knights won the game, thanks to Shea Theodore's bounce pass off the boards. However, the game drained Vegas's momentum, leading to three straight Hurricanes wins and a Stanley Cup for the Tar Heel State.
2.) The Golden Knights lose a Game 6 heartbreaker to the Montreal Canadiens
Alec Martinez tied the game in the third period of Game 6, keeping the Vegas Golden Knights alive a little longer. Combined with Robin Lehner's excellent play, they were ready to force a Game 7 that would bring the series back home.
Then, Artturi Lehkonen struck and slammed the series shut. Combined with Carey Price's outstanding series against the Golden Knights, the Original Six team continued its Cinderella run into the Stanley Cup Final. As for Vegas? Well, they moved one step closer to firing head coach Pete DeBoer.
