Reverse Retro Review: Glowing in the dark wins the Knight

The Vegas Golden Knights reverse retro jersey has been released and it has the features of some of the iconic images and features of the city of Las Vegas. The reverse retro jerseys will make their debut on November 26 against the Vancouver Canucks. As expected with some earlier leaks, the jersey does indeed have the Excalibur Hotel inspired wordmark and Stardust Hotel inspired numbers on the sleaves and back of the jersey.

The Golden Knights reverse retro jersey are also designed to glow in the dark, which again pays tribute to the iconic neon night time vibe of the Vegas strip.

B. The front of the jersey certainly is a bold element of Excalibur hotel. Could their have been more done on the front of the jersey? Absolutely. There could have been more features. For example, adding in a shade of the iconic ā€œWelcome to Vegasā€ sign on the strip. The Vegas sign could have been a dark greyish glow in the dark element behind the ā€œVegasā€ wordmark. However, the overall impression is that front of the jersey does scream Vegas.. . Vegas Golden Knights. RETRO FRONT

A. The back of the retro jersey is certain bold and it screams Vegas Strip with the Stardust hotel. This is an absolute homerun. If there is anything that would suggest improving the design, Perhaps, adding a golden glow in the dark element for the lettering on the name plate itself. When the jersey is seen in its glow in the dark backdrop, the name plate lettering does not even look visible.. . Vegas Golden Knights. RETRO BACK

A++. One of the coolest features of the reverse retro jersey, is seeing the glow in the dark feature added into the design itself. This is definite the first time we have seen an NHL team use this particular design into its jersey. Adding the stars into the ā€œVegasā€ wordmark on the front is an absolute banger. Incredible touch. Also seeing the lines at the bottom of the jersey glow in the dark is fantastic!. . Vegas Golden Knights. RETRO ELEMENTS

The Vegas Golden Knights have also unveiled the game night they will don the reverse retro jerseys. The first game will be Thanksgiving weekend.
