Golden Knights 2022-23 National Television Schedule
The NHL has announced its national television schedule for the 2022-23 season and the Golden Knights will make 12 appearances nationally in the United States. An additional five games will be shown nationally across Canada for Hockey Night In Canada. The NHL’s national television partners are ESPN and Turner Sports in the United States and Rogers Sports Net in Canada.
Of the 12 games, eight of them are on the ESPN family of networks. The remaining four are slated for Warner Brothers Discovery property TNT. All 12 of the games on ESPN and TNT can also be seen in the Las Vegas market.
Among the highlights of the national television appearances includes both the opening game on October 11 against the Pacific Division rival Los Angeles Kings and the regular season finale on April 13 at the Seattle Kraken on ESPN. The lone Saturday ABC appearance will come on Saturday April 8 against the Dallas Stars. As for the ESPN+ part of the schedule, the bulk of the schedule will be released at a later date. That being said, the one ESPN+ exclusive game we do know about is the March 28 home game against the Edmonton Oilers.
TNT’s Wednesday double-header package will have the Golden Knights first appearance on the network the night before the Thanksgiving holiday against the Ottawa Senators. The other games are against the New York Rangers on December 7, Anaheim on December 28 and finally on March 1 against the Carolina Hurricanes.
For Golden Knights fans in Canada, Hockey Night in Canada can be seen on CBC and Rogers Sports Net in English and TVA Sports in French. The five appearances for Vegas includes three games in November with road games at Montreal and Edmonton, and the one home game against Vancouver. The next appearance for Golden Knight on HNIC will be on January 14 at home against Edmonton and again on March 25 at Edmonton.
The interesting caveat with the national schedule is that all four of the games against the Edmonton Oilers will be seen nationally in either the United States and Canada. In the 2021-22 season, the Oilers won three of the four games against the Golden Knights. Given that both teams have a line-up that is stacked, it is not a total surprise that all four games are spotlighted.
Most of the in-market games can be seen on AT&T Sports Net in Wyoming, Utah, Southeastern Idaho, Mohave county in Arizona and all of Nevada. For California viewers, AT&T Sports Net is available in Alpin, El Dorado, Fresno, Inyo, Kings, Lassen, Madera, Mariposa, Mono, San Bernadino and Tulare counties.
For those that follow the Golden Knights out of market, the bulk of the regular season games can be found on ESPN+, where the NHL’s out of market package exists.
