Vegas Golden Knights hockey is officially back. After getting a week off during the All-Star break, the Knights came back ready to play and take on all the challenges ahead.

Yesterday the Vegas Golden Knights took on Pacific Division rival, the Edmonton Oilers and it was one to remember. Throughout this season, the Golden Knights have not had much success against the Oilers. In fact, prior to this game, the Vegas Golden Knights had faced the Oilers twice and lost both at home.

The Vegas Golden Knights have played very well this season when you look at the big picture. However, there has been one team that has gave the Knights a lot of trouble- the Edmonton Oilers.

The Vegas Golden Knights lost the first game against the Edmonton Oilers 5-3 at home. Looking back on the game, it was not great by the Vegas Golden Knights. However, Nicolas Roy made the most out of his game as he collected two points.

In the second game that the Vegas Golden Knights took on the Oilers, they lost 3-2. It was a hard fought game, but the Golden Knights were too late to the party and were unable to make a third period comeback.

Now, the Vegas Golden Knights just finished up their third game against the Edmonton Oilers this season, and the Knights finally got their win. It was a hard-fought game by the Knights and you could tell that they wanted this win.

Being in a division as tough as the Pacific, the Vegas Golden Knights have to play great hockey in order to competitive. With teams like the Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, Anaheim Ducks, and Los Angles Kings, the Knights are in a tough spot. However, getting this win against the Oilers last night proves they can beat these elite caliber teams.

So, with that being said, Let’s take a look at our player spotlight after last night’s 4-0 victory.

Vegas Golden Knights Player of the Game- Brayden McNabb

Yesterday was a great game if you’re a Vegas Golden Knights fan, not so much if you’re an Oilers fan. So with the win comes our player spotlight segment. What is that you may ask? Glad you asked.

After every game we here as Vegas Hockey Knight like to pick out a player who stood out the most and award him the Player of the game award. Yesterday we thought that Brayden McNabb stood out, so we are going to award him with the Player Spotlight.

McNabb who recently just signed an extension with the Knights, played one heck of a game last night. He finished the game leading the Knights in ice time with 25: 42, had an assist, five blocks, and a +1.

Now, there were a couple other players who I was considering here, however what McNabb did last night was great to see. But wanted to finish this article off by giving props to: Laurent Brossoit, Alex Pietrangelo, Nicolas Roy, and Reilly Smith.

Yesterday was a team effort, and the Knights were able to pull it off. Now they are on there way to Calgary in hopes of getting back-to-back wins.
