The Vegas Golden Knights have lost multiple players to injuries this season. However, things are finally starting to look up for the Golden Knights. After missing the last 26 games for the Knights while recovering from an injury, their star defenseman could be making his first game appearance soon.

The Vegas Golden Knights are prepping for the Montreal Canadiens matchup tonight. During the morning skate this morning, it was reported that star defenseman, Alec Martinez, was back on the ice in a normal contact jersey.

The Vegas Golden Knights star defenseman, Alec Martinez, was on the ice for practice yesterday. Now, as expected he was in a red no-contact jersey, but he was out there again which is a great sign. With Martinez and Jack Eichel both on the ice in red no-contact jersey’s it implies that the Knights aren’t that much further away from seeing their team as a whole again. Now let’s look ahead to today’s morning skate.

During the Vegas Golden Knights morning skate this morning was actually gave the Knights a great surprise. According to multiple reports the Knights had Alec Martinez skating in a regular grey defenseman jersey.

The immediate thought after seeing this post from Jesse Granger was that Alec Martinez could return for the game tonight against the Montreal Canadiens. However, it was later reported that he would not return tonight and still needed some time before actually returning. It was reported that Pete DeBoer said;

Anyways, the Vegas Golden Knights are in a great situation with everything they have going for them.
