The Vegas Golden Knights are taking on the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight. While the game should be on the fore front of everyone’s mind, it’s not. With new stories to tell each day, the new one we got today has crashed the NHL part of the internet.

Over two months ago the Vegas Golden Knights pursued a young star by the name of Jack Eichel. Now, as many of you guys already know, Eichel is a star in this league. The young star was ready to compete for a Stanley Cup but he was not in the right situation to do so. The Buffalo Sabres were setting up for yet another rebuild that set Jack Eichel crazy.

Now, there are probably multiple sides to this story, but the one they can both agree on is that he didn’t want to be there. Not just because of having to be apart of another rebuild in Buffalo but because After he got hurt, he went to see the team specialist to figure out the next step was to getting better. The team doctor had a different idea than Eichel had and therefore- Eichel refused to play for them.

Now, we are here. And after two months of waiting, we got our first look at one of the new Vegas Golden Knight player.

The Vegas Golden Knights had previously traded away budding stars: Alex Tuch, and Peyton Krebs, in exchange for Jack Eichel. Eichel has been rehabbing from his artificial disc surgery, and now we get our first look at the newest Vegas Golden Knights player.

I’m sure you’re curious about how it went and if I have any videos from his first practice. Well, lucky for you, there are multiple videos out there regarding his first practice and I’ve got them all right here so you can take a look at what people are saying and how he did.

Press Conference

Jack Eichel’s press conference was a new Jack Eichel. Unlike most interviews he’s done- he showed joy being able to be back out on the ice with a team. Here are some of the quotes he gave to reporters

"“A bit of an emotional moment for me. Another step in the process, but this was like a kid at Christmas getting out there with the guys.”“I almost feel back to normal.”"

When asked about his potential return he had multiple comments about the matter- not before giving the media some humor.

"“I was actually thinking about suiting up tonight, but they wouldn’t let me go. No, I wish.”"

Prior to making that comment about his potential return, he made sure to state that he is feeling almost back to normal. Which, is a good sign as for his progress, but still means that he knows he needs more time to recover.
