Mark Stone Get’s His Second to Tie it Up in the Third

For those of you who haven’t had the chance to watch many Vegas Golden Knight games this season, I’ll kind of give a back story to this season on what makes this so special;

In the second game of the season the Golden Knights Captain, Mark Stone, went down with an non-contact injury. Stone had a breakaway up the ice against the Los Angeles Kings and when going to take a shot off his leg, he actually hurt himself. He later went on to miss a month along with wing, Max Pacioretty.

Mark Stone has always been considered one of the Vegas Golden Knights best players, but this season was different. After returning from his lower-body injury, he wasn’t exactly the player we thought we were going to get. He went on a goal drought that visibly hurt him and irritated him. After missing shots or opportunities he would slam his stick on the boards or act out in emotion. It was also reported that his leadership became “toxic”.

However, that changed tonight and in the best possible way. Mark Stone found some luck after a couple weeks without a goal and in the third period, he found a way to tie it up with the Dallas Stars. That goal helped the Knights get some energy and morale going and they ultimately got the win. It was a great win for the Knights and we have Stone to thank.
