Reilly Smith Gets the Breakaway Goal Against the Colorado Avalanche
Looking back to early on in the season when the Vegas Golden Knights took on Western Conference rival, the Colorado Avalanche, there were a lot of good parts of that game.
It was early on in the game- only 9:37 into the first period when the Avalanche got a power play. Although, the Avalanche did get a power play, the Knights did already have the 1-0 lead. Therefore, this penalty kill wasn’t super crucial but would still be nice in order to shut the Avalanche out. so it wasn’t that crucial. However, when a team goes on a power play, you’d expect a goal but not by the team on the penalty kill.
In this case that is exactly what happened, and it was quite the goal by Knights forward, Reilly Smith.
