Another Golden Knight Returns
The Vegas Golden Knights have been plagued by a plethora of injuries this season. It all went downhill for the Golden Knights after Mark Stone and Max Pacioretty went down. However, in absence of those two top line players, the misfit lines stepped up.
After Mark Stone and Max Pacioretty left the game early against rival, Los Angeles Kings, everything went downhill for the Knights. Following in the footsteps of the Captain and Pacioretty were: Nolan Patrick, Zach Whitecloud, Alec Martinez, Shea Theodore, and William Karlsson. Now, I could keep that list going, but you get the point. However, looking to where we are today, things are starting to look up.
It was reported earlier today that the Vegas Golden Knights center, William Karlsson, could be close to returning for them. After going down with a broken foot and then being placed in COVID protocol, his return is not that far away.
Back in 2017 when the public was informed that Las Vegas was going to be granted the 31st official NHL team. It was a little strange as to why they chose Vegas to host a hockey team, but it works and there is no denying that. However, after getting through the expansion draft, they created a team that somehow was able to compete right out of the gate.
From the Columbus Blue Jackets the Vegas Golden Knights selected center, William Karlsson.
Those words would later become something that the Vegas Golden Knights community would cherish. After not really living up to the hype in Columbus, he found a new start with the Knights that allowed him to thrive.
Okay. Now, lets go ahead and shift our focus into the original point of this article, William Karlsson. Karlsson, about a month ago, was placed onto the LTIR after taking a puck to his foot that resulted in a broken foot. However, as his return was nearing, he was later placed in COVID protocol. Now, as of earlier this morning, he could be looking to make his way back into the lineup tonight against the Calgary Flames.
According to multiple sources, William Karlsson was back on the ice and was a participant in morning skate.
As you can see above the Vegas Golden Knights center is close to returning and was taking rushes with the second power play unit earlier as well. This bodes well for his availability tonight.
