The Vegas Golden Knights have been off since Saturday after getting the win against the Vancouver Canucks. Now they are ready to get back into action against the red hot, Carolina Hurricanes. This is going to be one of the hardest matchups the Vegas Golden Knights have had thus far this season. However, with the way the Knights have been playing-This could be the hardest matchup the Hurricanes have seen.
The Vegas Golden Knights have been one of the hottest teams in the National Hockey League and will be looking to take on another. This matchup should be a very close game if the matchup precedes itself. However, there was some unfortunate news prior to morning skate that could end up being a very pivotal factor.
It was reported earlier this morning that the Vegas Golden Knights star winger, Jonathan Marchessault, was placed on the COVID-19 list. Given how many names are out already, losing the guy who’s been your backbone, it’s going to be interesting to see how the Vegas Golden Knights overcome more adversity.
Given the fact that, Jonathan Marchessault is now out for the foreseeable future, I’d assume that there are probably going to be more line changes. What those line changes are going to be, I’m not sure. Especially because there are a couple people who aren’t given starts at this point in time.
Anyways, let’s take a look at some of the lines based upon projection:
Forwards
Reilly Smith-Nicolas Roy-Mark Stone
Evgenii Dadonov-Brett Howden-Keegan Kolesar
Michael Amadio-Jake Leschyshyn-Jonas Rondjberg
Sven Baertschi-Paul Cotter-Daniil Miromanov
Defenseman
Nicolas Hague-Alex Pietrangelo
Brayden McNabb-Shea Theodore
Ben Hutton-Dylan Coghlan
Goalies
Robin Lehner
Laurent Brossoit
This lineup is all based upon projection because there isn’t much to go off of. However, the Vegas Golden Knights are going to be in for quite the game. After losing more than two lines worth of forwards, they are more than likely going to run three lines instead of four and rotate people into other lines. There just isn’t enough forwards to play a four line rotation.
