A huge opportunity awaits the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 4 tonight.
After shutting out the Vancouver Canucks in Game 3 on Saturday, the Vegas Golden Knights could push their opponents to the brink of elimination with a win tonight.
Robin Lehner was outstanding last night with 31 saves for his second shutout of the postseason, although it is likely that Marc-Andre Fleury will get the start in Game 4.
The Canucks will no doubt come out hard tonight as they look to tie the series up, and it should be another mouthwatering contest in what has become a compelling series.
The Skinny
It was domination in Game 3 for the Golden Knights who shut the door on the Canucks, while scoring three goals to take a 2-1 series lead.
They will be highly motivated tonight too with the chance to put the Canucks on the brink of elimination at stake, but Vancouver is still a dangerous beast.
They proved in Game 2 that they have the firepower to hang with Vegas, and you won’t shut out the likes of Elias Pettersson, Bo Horvat and Quinn Hughes on too many occasions.
The big storyline heading into Game 4 will once again revolve around goaltending, with Golden Knights Head Coach Peter DeBoer having to decide whether to ride the hot hand with Robin Lehner or give Marc-Andre Fleury just his second start of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
We know back-to-backs can be tough but that’s where the Golden Knights have the advantage given their superior depth up and down the lineup.

Projected Lineups
Once again, the biggest lineup decision for the Vegas Golden Knights heading into Game 4 will revolve around goaltending.
When Vegas had a back-to-back to navigate in the First Round against the Chicago Blackhawks, they split the games between Robin Lehner and Marc-Andre Fleury.
That should be the case this time around too with Fleury likely to start tonight, although Lehner was sensational in Game 4, pitching a shutout with 31 saves.
Does that alter Peter DeBoer’s thinking?
Time will tell.
Max Pacioretty left Game 3 but did return to the bench in the third period, and it is expected that he’ll be good to go tonight.

There isn’t expected to be any major lineup changes for the Canucks who dropped Game 3, and Jacob Markstrom should get the start between the pipes again.
