3. Elite Women’s 3-on-3 to be a hit

The All-Star Game is usually subject to much debate with some fans deciding to stay away from the festivities.

However, credit where credit is due because the National Hockey League has attempted to spark more interest this year.

And one of the really cool things they have implemented is inviting the elite of the elite from the American and Canadian Women teams to St. Louis.

While they will probably play a big role throughout the weekend, the best of the best from Canada and America will go head-to-head in a 3-on-3 game.

This is an opportunity for the likes of Amanda Kessel, Hilary Knight and Natalie Spooner to showcase their elite talents and it should be a tantalizing and competitive game.

It was really neat of the NHL to introduce this event and it will hopefully become a staple of the All-Star Game going forward.

After all, women’s hockey is on the up and up and they deserve to be given the platform to show off their skills.

Speaking of skills, players from both Team USA and Team Canada will also be involved in the All-Star Skills competition tonight, and it should be a lot of fun to see the women interact with the NHL’s elite.

NHL, take a bow.
