2. Hague’s Big Moment

Good things come to those who wait.

That was certainly the case for Nic Hague who carved out a moment he’ll never forget in Boston on Tuesday.

After ripping the puck against numerous posts in frustration through 37 games, the rookie defenseman couldn’t light the lamp despite his best efforts.

He had produced after tallying 10 assists in his rookie year, but putting the puck in the net was proving to be a difficult task.

However, all that changed on Tuesday as Hague finally broke the hoodo to record his first ever career goal in the National Hockey League.

After being dished the puck by Nate Schmidt, Hague unleashed an absolute bomb past Jaroslav Halak to secure his milestone moment.

It was a long time coming for Hague and the execution of the goal certainly made the wait worth it for the blueliner.

And, given the deadly release and big shot that Hague has in his arsenal, it certainly won’t be the defensemen’s last.
